Dit Game Boy-klassiekje uit 1991 is een fantastische action-RPG die Square heeft bedacht voor onderweg. Je speelt met een party van vier personages die je helemaal zelf kunt samenstellen en aanpassen. Het gevechtsysteem werkt op beurt-basis en is verfrissend anders dan veel andere games uit die tijd. Het echte genie van Legend II zit in het progressiesysteem: je karakters worden sterker door te vechten en uitrusting op te rapen. Een uniek mechanisme stelt je in staat om monsteronderdelen als uitrusting uit te rusten, wat je nieuwe vaardigheden en statistieken oplevert. Je verkent dungeons, bezoekt dorpen en traint je team tegen steeds moeilijkere tegenstanders en bazen. Met zijn diepte en speelbare personalisatie is dit nog altijd een must-play voor Game Boy-enthousiasten.
