On the Ball
On the Ball is een originele actiespel van Taito dat in 1992 voor de SNES uitkwam. Je bestuurt een bal door een reeks uitdagende levels vol obstakels en hazards, waarbij je momentum en precisie moet gebruiken om vooruit te komen. Het speelplezier zit hem in het slim navigeren door platforms, het activeren van schakelaars en het oplossen van eenvoudige omgevingspuzzels. Elk level bouwt qua moeilijkheidsgraad op, dus je zult al snel behoorlijk uit je dak moeten gaan. Het is een rustig, puzzelachtig actiespel dat sterk afwijkt van typische SNES-actiespellen. Hoewel On the Ball geen mega-hit werd, is het een interessante en onderscheidende titel die laat zien hoe creatief Taito kon experimenteren. Voor liefhebbers van origineel speelwerk en een wat ander soort uitdaging is dit absoluut een aanrader.
