Azurian Attack is an action arcade game released in 1982 by Rait Electronics Ltd. Players control a spacecraft and must defend against waves of alien enemies descending from above, in a format reminiscent of fixed-screen space shooters popular during that era. The player moves horizontally along the bottom of the screen, firing upward at incoming enemy formations while avoiding their attacks and projectiles. Like many arcade titles of its time, the game increases in difficulty as waves progress, with enemies moving faster and attacking more aggressively. The cabinet used a joystick and fire button control scheme standard for the genre. Azurian Attack was one of several space shooter variants produced during the early 1980s arcade boom, competing in a crowded market dominated by similar titles.
