About the team

RetroGameSpace is curated by a small editorial team of long-time emulation enthusiasts.

RGS Editorial

Editorial team

RGS Editorial is the small team of long-time emulation enthusiasts that curates the catalogue, writes the editorial guides, and maintains the playability checks across all 2,000+ titles in the library. Members come from a mix of homebrew development, retro hardware restoration, and game-preservation backgrounds.

We collectively re-verify the recommendations in every guide twice a year against the latest browser releases and emulator core updates. The "Last reviewed" date on each guide reflects the most recent re-verification pass.

Mira Köhler

Senior editor — emulation & hardware

Mira Köhler is RetroGameSpace's senior editor for emulation and hardware-side guides. She has been writing about browser-based emulation since the early WebAssembly days and contributes to a handful of open-source emulator core projects in her spare time. Before joining RetroGameSpace she worked on web-runtime research at a Berlin-based browser-engine team, focused on real-time graphics and audio scheduling in WebAssembly.

On RetroGameSpace, Mira reviews controller compatibility, save-state behavior across emulator cores, and browser-side performance regressions. She personally re-tests every recommended hardware pick on Linux, macOS, and Windows before each guide is signed off — the "Last reviewed" date on her bylined guides reflects that hands-on pass.
