Exzisus
Exzisus is a horizontal scrolling shoot-em-up released by Taito Corporation in 1987 for arcade cabinets. Players pilot a fighter aircraft through multiple stages, shooting down waves of enemy planes, ground targets, and end-of-stage bosses. The game features a two-player simultaneous cooperative mode, allowing both players to combine firepower against enemies. Players collect power-ups dropped by defeated enemies to enhance their weapons and increase offensive capability. The controls use a joystick for movement and a button for firing, keeping the input scheme straightforward. Stages alternate between air-based combat sections and segments featuring ground assault sequences, adding some variety to the action. The game supports a dedicated two-player cabinet configuration, making cooperative play a central feature of the arcade experience.
