Killer Comet
Killer Comet is an arcade action game released in 1980, developed by GamePlan under a Centuri license. Players control a spaceship defending against waves of incoming comets and enemy spacecraft. Using a rotational control scheme, the ship can spin and fire to destroy threats approaching from multiple directions. The game supports two players, allowing alternating play on a single cabinet. Stages escalate in difficulty as more comets and enemies appear simultaneously, demanding faster reaction times. The objective is to survive each wave and accumulate points by destroying incoming objects. Killer Comet fits within the space shooter genre popular in early arcade cabinets, sharing mechanical similarities with titles like Asteroids while offering its own attack patterns and enemy behaviors.
