Pipe Dream
Pipe Dream is a puzzle game released in 1989 by LucasArts for DOS. The player controls the construction of pipes on a game board, strategically placing and rotating pipe segments before flowing liquid automatically traverses the completed network. Gameplay alternates between a building phase where the player arranges pipes with directional precision, and an execution phase where liquid flows through the constructed path. Each level presents new board layouts and requires players to plan ahead, creating an unbroken route from the starting point to the exit. The challenge lies in working against the clock, as players must complete their pipe network before the liquid begins flowing. With increasingly complex level designs and escalating difficulty, Pipe Dream demands quick decision-making and spatial reasoning.
