Below the house sits a small sprite character, likely Pikachu, and beneath that a grid pattern interface showing what appears to be inventory or move selection tiles in rows. The entire scene uses the characteristic low-resolution monochrome palette of Game Boy hardware.

Pokémon Yellow, developed by Game Freak and released in 1998, is a role-playing game where players catch and train creatures called Pokémon. You start with Pikachu as your starter Pokémon and journey through the Kanto region, battling trainers and gym leaders to become a Pokémon master. The game features a team of up to six Pokémon that you build through exploration and battles. Combat is turn-based, where you select attacks and items for each Pokémon during encounters. Unlike other Pokémon titles, Yellow provides a more story-driven experience closer to the anime, with Pikachu following you throughout your adventure. You navigate towns and routes using directional controls, enter caves and buildings to explore, and engage in trainer battles to level up your team and progress toward facing the Elite Four.
