The FairyLand Story is a single-screen action arcade game developed by Taito and released in 1985. Players control Ptolemy, a young witch who must defeat enemies by casting magic spells that encase foes in cakes. Once trapped, enemies can be kicked off the platforms to eliminate them or to knock into other enemies for chain reactions. The game features multiple stages built around tiered platform layouts, and difficulty increases as more aggressive enemy types appear. Ptolemy can walk left and right and jump across platforms while firing her wand horizontally. The gameplay shares structural similarities with Taito's earlier Bubble Bobble concept, centering on clearing each screen of all enemies before advancing to the next stage.
