Lunar Rescue is an action arcade game released by Taito in 1979. The player pilots a rescue ship tasked with saving astronauts stranded on the lunar surface. Descending through a field of enemy satellites, the player must dodge and shoot incoming threats before landing on the moon. Once on the surface, an astronaut boards the ship, and the player must then fly back upward through increasingly dense enemy fire to return safely to the mothership. Controls involve moving the ship left and right and firing at enemies. The game features escalating difficulty with each rescue attempt, as enemy satellites become faster and more numerous. Lunar Rescue supports two-player alternating play, allowing two players to take turns competing for the highest score.
