Commando is a top-down run-and-gun shooter released by Capcom in 1985. The player controls a commando who moves across the screen shooting enemies while avoiding gunfire. The game features eight missions set in different environments, each with multiple waves of soldiers and obstacles to overcome. Players use a joystick to move and a button to fire in the direction they face. The commando can also throw grenades for area damage. Enemies spawn continuously and become increasingly aggressive as the player progresses through each stage.
