Hyper Duel
Hyper Duel is an arcade action shooter developed by Technosoft and released in 1993. Players pilot a transformable mech that can switch between a humanoid robot mode and a spacecraft mode at will, each offering different movement speeds and firepower options. The game features multiple selectable characters at the start, each with distinct weapon loadouts. In robot mode, the player moves more slowly but can aim weapons in multiple directions; spacecraft mode allows faster movement suited to dodging enemy fire. Stages scroll horizontally and vertically, filling the screen with bullets and enemy units. Power-ups collected during play enhance weaponry. The game runs on Technosoft's own arcade hardware and is noted for its detailed sprite graphics and fast-paced combat throughout its several distinct stages.
