Space Attack is an arcade action game released by Sega in 1979. The game supports two players and follows a fixed-screen shooter format where players control a cannon at the bottom of the screen to destroy waves of alien invaders descending from above. Similar in concept to Space Invaders, players move horizontally and fire upward at rows of enemies arranged in a grid pattern. The aliens move progressively faster as their numbers diminish. Players must eliminate all enemies before they reach the bottom of the screen. Barriers provide temporary cover against enemy fire. The difficulty increases with each successive wave, and high scores are tracked across sessions. Controls consist of a joystick for lateral movement and a button for firing.
