Wacko
Wacko is an action arcade game released by Bally Midway in 1982. Players control a character navigating a top-down playfield, using a joystick and a spinner to aim and fire simultaneously in different directions. The goal is to shoot down waves of attacking enemies while avoiding their projectiles and other hazards. The dual-control scheme — moving with the joystick while independently rotating the shooter with the spinner — gives the game a distinctive feel. Enemies arrive in increasing numbers and patterns as play progresses, raising the difficulty. The game features colorful graphics and a lighthearted visual style consistent with Bally Midway's arcade output of the period. Scoring is based on enemies destroyed, and players lose a life upon taking a hit.
