Cotton Boomerang is a horizontally scrolling shoot-em-up released in 1998 by Success for arcades. Players control witch characters riding broomsticks, shooting magical projectiles at waves of enemies across multiple stages. The game supports two-player simultaneous co-op, allowing two players to choose from several selectable characters, each with distinct attack styles and magic abilities. Players collect crystals dropped by enemies to power up magic attacks, adding a resource management element to the action. The witch Cotton and her fairy companion Silk return alongside additional playable characters. Stages feature colorful fantasy environments filled with enemy formations and boss encounters. The arcade cabinet controls use a joystick and buttons for firing and deploying special magic attacks.
