Dig Dug
打空气
Dig Dug is an action maze game released by Namco in 1983. Players control a digger excavating tunnels through underground soil while confronting monsters. The game features two enemy types: Pooka and Fygar. The unique combat system lets players pump air into enemies to inflate them until they burst, or collapse terrain to crush adversaries. Movement is restricted to tunnel passages, creating a confined tactical environment. Controls are straightforward: directional input moves the character, while another button operates the pump. The game progresses through multiple rounds with increasing difficulty, new enemy patterns, and varied layouts. Clearing all enemies advances to the next level. Its simple mechanics and intense pace made it a compelling arcade experience during the early 1980s.
