M-4
M-4 is a two-player tank combat arcade game released by Midway in 1977. Each player controls a tank on a split-screen battlefield, maneuvering through terrain and firing at the opponent's vehicle. The objective is to destroy the enemy tank before being hit yourself. Players use a joystick or directional controls to move their tank and a button to shoot. The game features destructible environments, where shells can blow through certain obstacles on the map. M-4 supports simultaneous two-player competitive play, making it a direct head-to-head experience. The battlefield is viewed from a top-down perspective. With no progressive level structure, matches are time-based or score-based contests between two players seated at the same cabinet.
