The title screen displays "STAR WARS" in yellow outlined letters at the top left, with "GAME GEAR" branding below it. Darth Vader's helmet dominates the right side in dark gray and black tones, while Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker appear in the lower center in sepia and gold hues. A starfield of white dots fills the background. "PRESS START" text appears in yellow at the bottom. The overall color palette uses yellows, blacks, grays, and browns typical of Game Gear's four-shade limitation.

Star Wars, developed by Tiertex and released in 1993, is a vertical scrolling shooter for the Game Gear. Players control Luke Skywalker's X-wing through multiple levels inspired by scenes from the original film trilogy. The game features sprite-based graphics typical of early 90s handheld gaming, with enemies including TIE fighters and other Imperial aircraft. Players use the directional pad to move left and right while firing laser blasts at incoming enemies, with power-ups appearing throughout levels to enhance firepower. The game progresses through several missions, each presenting increasingly challenging formations of enemies. Boss encounters feature larger, more powerful adversaries requiring strategy and timing to defeat. The X-wing can absorb multiple hits before being destroyed, with health restored through pickups. Later levels introduce the Millennium Falcon in different scenarios, maintaining the Star Wars theme throughout the experience.
