Orbit
轨道
Orbit is a two-player action arcade game released by Atari in 1978. Players control spaceships orbiting a central star, firing missiles at each other while navigating the gravitational pull of the star field. The objective is to destroy the opponent's ship before being hit yourself. Ships move in curved trajectories influenced by gravity, requiring players to anticipate flight paths rather than shoot in straight lines. Each player uses controls to adjust their ship's orbit and aim projectiles. The game is designed strictly for two simultaneous players competing against each other, with no single-player mode. Matches play out on a single screen, and the gravitational mechanics add complexity to aiming and maneuvering throughout play.
