Frogs
青蛙
Frogs is an action arcade game released by Gremlin in 1978. The player controls a frog perched on a lily pad and must jump onto passing logs floating across the screen, then leap upward to catch flies and other insects hovering above the water. The game uses a joystick to aim and a button to trigger the jump. Timing is critical, as mistimed leaps send the frog into the water. The difficulty increases as logs move faster and insects appear less frequently. Frogs is notable for being one of the earliest arcade games to use a vertically oriented screen and to feature a jumping mechanic as its core gameplay element.
