Kirby's Avalanche, developed by HAL Laboratory in 1995, is a puzzle game for SNES featuring competitive block-matching. Players rotate and place falling colored blocks to match four or more of the same color, clearing them from the board. Matched blocks create chains that send garbage blocks to the opponent. The single-player mode offers progressively difficult levels with varying mechanics and challenges. In two-player matches, clearing blocks sends garbage to your opponent, adding strategic depth. Controls use the standard SNES joypad for rotation and placement. Success requires quick reflexes, careful planning, and chain management to handle the increasingly crowded playfield. The gameplay combines speed, strategy, and reaction time as players compete to outlast their opponent.
