Ultra Seven
Ultra Seven is a 2-player action game released in 1993 by BEC, based on the Ultra Seven tokusatsu series. Players control Ultraman-style giant robots fighting through side-scrolling levels filled with alien enemies and mechanical threats. The game features straightforward punch and kick attacks, with special moves that charge up during combat. Each stage presents multiple waves of enemies before a boss encounter, testing both combat timing and resource management. The two-player mode allows simultaneous or alternating play through the campaign. Controls are responsive and accessible, relying on standard directional inputs combined with action buttons for basic attacks and charged techniques. The level progression introduces new enemy types and environmental hazards gradually, building difficulty through the campaign rather than sudden difficulty spikes.
